He is such a precious thing. I love him.
We cuddle almost everynight and he gives kisses.
He now has feathers on his tummy and a clean bill of health from the Dr.

Stanley

Stanley

Well, Stanley went home today. I sure am going to miss him. I got a little teary eyed when his momma came and took him home.

Last of The Weekend

After Stanley left at 1pm I went back to the Knit and Crochet Show. I saw Lily Chin again in a gorgeous yellow knit/crochet outfit. She is a smashing dresser! I forgot to mention I saw her Friday night at dinner too.

I spent $100 and got some good items.

Alpaca Yarn for a shawl of course.

Yarn for two more shawls.

This one is for over my little black dress that I will take on the cruise.

I subscribe to the Sampler and got these really great earrings this time!

I love them!

I am currently watching the first season of Charmed and reading The Bone Garden by Tess Gerritsen.

Knit and Crochet Show

I went to the Knit and Crochet Show in Portland yesterday.
What a lot of fun!
On the way back home I ended up right next to Drew E and Doris Chan on the max.
I was going to say Hi but was a little star struck and they seemed deep in conversation.
I am going to try and go back tomorrow.

I forgot to tell you that I won two skeins of sock yarn.

Brenda's Bike Move -July 26th

VANCOUVER BIKE MOVE!
July 26th at 14th and Evergreen, Vancouver, Wa
11:00am

My car free friend Brenda in downtown Vancouver is moving this month! She'd love to see a bike move come across the Columbia and move stuff without running it around in someone else's car. It's about a mile and a half at most, as the bike move rides, from about 14th and Evergreen to around 29th and Main. As Brenda is a Red Hatter, an obvious theme would be gaudy hats, perhaps even garish. We'll work on rounding up some goodies from Vancouver Pizza, Vancouver's finest pizza according to the Columbian. If you're unsure about the I-5 bridge, let's meet at the Paul Bunyan on Interstate at 10-ish.

Multnomah County Bike Fair

John rode over on his bike Saturday to enjoy the Multnomah County Bike Fair.
He said I would have enjoyed it. I stayed home with the fan, ac and the birds.

There was unicycle jousting!

Bus Bytes

This morning the poor old bus could hardly make it up the Mill Plain hill.
I thought we were going to have to get out and push.

Then this guy got on and was talking to no one in particular. He was discussing bombs, bloody people, murder etc.
After say, 10 minutes the bus driver asked him where he was going. Luckily for us all it was not far. He did have a nice big back pack that had us all wondering what exactly he was carrying in there.

Golum AKA Precious

My new bird. I love him. He has grown back quite a few feathers since I first met him. He was rescued from a bad breeding situation. This is his first exposure to other sennies and humans up close on a daily basis. Precious came to live with us on 5/10/08

Duh...

I listen to this really fun podcast called Yarn Thing.

I have been listening for awhile and all of a sudden I could only hear Marly and none of her interview.

I posted a comment on her site.

Since I listen at work I only put in one ear phone, the one that has Marly's voice,
not the other persons!

Ha! Well all is good and I am listening to the interview with the Crochet Dude.

Thanks Marly!

Crafty Stuff

This is the sweater I am working on. I have crocheted about 6 rounds after closing the arm holes. Time for lace next!

You can find the pattern here.

Here is a necklace I just made.

Tara and I are going to the new Vancouver Wa Yarn store.
It is called StitchCraft. They are having a Knitting Soiree tonight.
I am starting on the Juliet sweater from Zephyr.
